I'm never gonna catch my breath
- "Universal Bunny" (album) @ MF

Tracks:

1. "Universal Bunny"
2. "Pink Monsoon"
3. "Gira Gira Summer (^ω^)"
4. "Izorado"
5. "Aenai Toki"
6. "Eien"
7. "Obelisk"
8. "Tenshi ni Nacchatta (Universal Version)"

Some funny notes from May'n's blog, translated by gabrielarobin.com:

May’n made an interesting post with a rundown of the songs in Universal Bunny and Styles. Of course she mentioned Kanno in the Universal Bunny comments, and I’ll just post a few that I thought was interesting:

*Universal Bunny - May’n thought that for the white bunny, she would just sing cutely, but Kanno told her to sing like a little devil. “Sing as a little devil! Not just simply cute, sing like a little devil that men can’t let go off!” So she said they recorded and all the while Kanno was teaching her how to do this “little devil” (haha).

*Gira Gira Summer - The smiley on the title on this song was indeed her idea, which she wrote about in a previous blog post.

*Izorado - Kanno called this one “Yankee Sheryl” style.

*Aenai Toki - In the booklet you will see that this song was written by Sheryl for an ex-boyfriend, but since she wanted to put out real emotions for the song, she was only thinking of Alto when she sang this.

Then there's "Styles," May'n's first full length album.

"Styles" (album) @ MU

1. "Get Ready"
2. "Kimi Shinitamou Koto Nakare"
3. "Standing Bird"
4. "XYZ"
5. "Let Me Be Myself"
6. "Deep Breathing"
7. "Welcome To My Fanclub's Night (Styles Version)"
8. "h@e me h@e you!"
9. "Paranoia"
10. "M-Revolution"
11. "Your Rock"
12. "Heart and Soul"

"Paranoia" is my favorite!

Demi-hiatus.

my breasts are different than yours, clothes come off
- gabrielarobin.com has a Macross Radio clip of "Universal Bunny"

-
... and also translated lyrics for that clip:

I am your white bunny
Jumping and diving it’s almost innocent
The milky way spills in the galaxy
Hey, I want to eat that candy star

I am your black bunny
I am a rowdy sexy prey
If I give you a good peek of my hips it’s dangerous
Yes, at my winking signal, dive into my cleavage

I am violated by the booing, I’m innocent
to the point that I can not be reborn
If I struggle against the kiss
The crying angel is surprise, a demon

Too naive in full glory… (sad out myself)
Naturally bold… (sad out myself)
Inside I’m defenseless (What’s up?wow Yeah!)
Give me a reason to live!

What is essential is pleasure
The limit is unclear
But I [drive/dive?] reversible day
And yet it is the same
I’m seeing a dream

Haaaaaah, Basara, Sheryl's gaining in song count. ♥

II. Trailer translation!

Brera?: …what were you looking for?

Sheryl: Listen to my song!
?: I have no doubt, Captain Grace. Surely this time, the Code Q1 that we were looking for is…
Alto: Rankaaaa!

Ozma: This girl, Sheryl Nome, is involved with the 5 people from the Galaxy warship who are suspected of being spies.
Alto: I will fly. Even if say, it’s in a sky for fighting.

Ranka: I want to sing. But will you listen to me? To my song?
Sheryl: I want to sing this specific song for a certain group of people. For people who are staking their life in a far away place right now…
Alto: Whatever happens, you are not alone.
Ozma: Mission Code, Galactic Fairy.
Alto: Sheryl! Ranka!
Ranka: Sheryl!
Sheryl: Go, Ranka!!
Ranka: Yes, I will!

Ranka: Could I perhaps also fly…?
Alto: That can’t be, you are…?!
Ranka: Noo, I can’t do this!

Sheryl: Macross Frontier The False Diva Movie

Sheryl: Listen to my song!
Alto: You are not alone.
Sheryl: Is there no way to save the galaxy?! [not sure if the subject is Sheryl, or someone else. Perhaps it is, "Could I not save the galaxy?!"]

III. May'n post-birthday blog post.

♪Pink Monsoon
This song is in Sheryl’s debut single, that’s why right now, it’s unexpectedly R&B!

And a wild imagination with Kanno Yoko-san…

Sheryl~In the galaxy, R&B is currently popular. Eeeeh, I can’t do that Grace, I want to sing rock! It’s okay, it will be R&B Sheryl!

At the time of debut, Sheryl did not choose the style. R&B was also a challenge isn’t it?

(*The imagination ends here)

I wanted to show a sexy style, singing as Sheryl who longs to be an adult.

More than the lyrics, I was concerned on the singing style and the fake [not sure about what "fake" means]. Because I love R&B, I had fun ★

♪Tenshi ni Naricchatta

Coupling [a.k.a. Shipping]. A media number that has not been seen before [not sure again what "media number" is, so this is probably off]

And a wild delusion with Kanno Yoko-san…

“Grace, I want to write a song, which is my first time to write one. And put it in the CD!! Oh, an impressive coupling, in a diary, isn’t it quite good, this relationship, okay okay go ahead!

So then Sheryl is established as a singer-song writer.
This tune might be a self-made tune.

(*The imagination ends here)

From this, I was quite concerned about portraying the original Sheryl innocence!!

As for that poster with "black Sheryl" and "white Sheryl" apparently they're the "black rabbit" and "white rabbit" -- I'm guessing they'll tie in to "Universal Bunny"?

"Don't Be Late" and "Welcome to My Fanclub's Night" are small potatoes. This song has the terrifying honor of being the most non-sensical, Engrishy horror this side of "Shao Pai Lon."

WATASHI NO UTA WO KIKE

F-Tama, the official fan club for the Macross Frontier science-fiction anime, has announced to its members on Saturday that it is holding two "Macross Crossover Live A.D. 2009x45x49" concerts at the Makuhari Messe convention complex near Tokyo on October 17 and October 18. The "galaxy's biggest crossover" will feature Mari Iijima (Lynn Minmay in The Super Dimension Fortress Macross), Yoshiki Fukuyama (the singing voice of Macross 7's Basara Nekki), Chie Kajiura (the singing voice of Macross 7's Mylene Jenius), May'n (the singing voice of Macross Frontier's Sheryl Nome), and Megumi Nakajima (Macross Frontier's Ranka Lee). This is the second event to mark the "first year of Macross" after the Macross "space launching ceremony" in February. (The first episode of the first Macross series aired in 1982, but its story was set in February of 2009.) The first Macross Frontier film will open in Japan on November 21.

and yet I guess it makes me smile, with the lights out it's less dangerous
I use this journal for May'n stalking, so why not Megumi Nakajima-stalking?

In addition to her singles "Tenshi ni Naritai" ("I Wanna Be An Angel") and "Nostalgia" (includes a cover of "Angel Paints"), Megumi Nakajima got herself a Vocaloid (Megupoid) and is acting in Kawamori's Basquash! as Citron, a member of a robo-basketball-playing idol group "Eclipse" along with Haruka Tomatsu and Saori Hayami. Here are the three Eclipse songs, plus Megumi Nakajima's "nO limiT."

- "nO limiT" (Eclipse)
- "Running On" (Eclipse)
- "Moon Passport" (Eclipse)
- "No Limit (Citron)" (Megumi Nakajima)
